I don't know. He already gave one barnburner about race, another one so close to the election might have the opposite effect that you envision here. Too much race-talk might make those already disinclined to vote for him even more nervous that he is a stealth "black" candidate in the Jackson/Sharpton mold, something he has miraculously avoided thus far (doesn't hurt to have Jackson want to castrate you.)
