I am looking for some Kerouac addresses and your blog suggests you may have them. Here goes: 1. The Ozone Park address from which Kerouac set out on the four road trips, 1947-1950. 2. The Richmond Hill address where he wrote Maggie Cassidy and Tristessa. 3. Sister Nin's address in Rocky Mount, NC and her address in Orlando where Jack wrote Big Sur.

And a question. Barrie Gifford gives W.34th Street as Kerouac's address with his second wife, Joan Haverty. It was during the six months he lived with her that he knocked out the On The Road scroll. Are you confident about the W. 20th St address?

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Vanessa,

Thanks for the compliment. On the Road is worth a re-read -- for the language and boundless energy it still holds.

Man, if I would have read this earlier I would have started re-reading On the Road. I haven't read it in years. May still dust it off... Great post.
