The Varieties of Religious Experience
Video of the late [Rev. Kenneth Hagin] leading a “Holy Laughter” Pentecostal revival meeting. A sociological goldmine. Small wonder the mainstream churches are losing members — who could compete with this?

Hello. As silly as it seems, this is not an uncommon exercise. There are many laughing clubs all over the world. It started in India and it’s not a religious activity. You can liken it to yoga perhaps. One theory says that you are most receptive when you are laughing, which is probably why this church chose to do it!

Well, it’s the Late Laughing Club now.
That’s to much.

I think it has something to do with induced ecstasy. They look pretty damn hysterical — and that could be taken as a quasi-religious experience. Seeing guys in jackets and ties flopping around the floor in the throws of inspiration is priceless.
