		<description>Clearly we are still missing the point.  

A clear headed look at the problem would help us to move towards a more honest solution - the elimination of a civil legal structure for a sacrament in the churches of humanity.

The problem is not with &quot;marriage&#039; so much as it is with the blurring of the line between church and state in our societies. 

Marriage should not be a civil affair at all.  Civil law should not include something labelled &quot;marriage&quot;.  The state should not be involved in legalizing a religious sacrament or ceremony.

Not only that, but with all the unbalanced power structure within &quot;marriage&quot; as practiced in many religions over the last 3000 years, both opposite-gender and same-gender couples should be moving on towards a healthier model.</description>
