I'm actually surprised that Hillary is actually being discussed as a nomination. When I saw that book by Morris on how it's going to be Hillary Vs. Rice I laughed. I assumed he came up with the idea while on hallucinogenic mushrooms. Think of it like this, "should the democrats have Hillary as their presidential nomination?" Well how likely do you think "the republicans will run Rice as their presidential nomination?" See... it ain't happening! If the democrats did run Hillary they would be treated to the most disgusting and vicious campaign (run by Republicans) in all of US history. She's just a senator and they ran a book that claimed she was a lesbian and Bill raped her! What the hell would the Democrats do? Find someone crasy enough to write a book claiming that Rice once ran an abortion clinic that only provided the service to white girls under the age of 16?
Hillary getting the nomination is slim, her actaully getting to be the president is practically impossible. It be like the Republicans electing Dick Cheney and having Tom Delay as running mate... and their first nomination to the supreme court is Ann Coulter, followed by Pat Robertson.

Hillary is not a liberal, holds positions that are virtually similar to republicans, and therefore will not receive my vote. While I admire her ambition, it often seems to overshadow her commitment to advancing programs and positions that really matter to human beings. Flag burning and violent video games are non-issues which will in no way benefit the quality oflife in this country. I'd like to see Russ Feingold as a candidate.

Bill & Mike,

I'm kind of astonished at how soon people are looking for an alternative. A lot can happen in 19 months, but it looks like her carefully managed positions that tack centrist, may alienate her own base in hopes of what -- appealing to independents? They don't want her to run.

While I support Hillary as Senator for New York, I'm not sure she's the right choice for Presidential candidate. I'm not at all pleased with her stance on the Iraq war

I think finding another Presidential candidate, such as Russ Feingold, and keeping her in the Senate would serve the country better. She's a power broker, and by a rejection of her as a Presidential candidate would refocus her effors to bringing an end to this obscenity in Iraq.

You're underestimating the power of money -- she's way ahead of any other candidate in fundraising. She may go off a cliff in the general election, but I think she has a lock on the nom. My 2c anywway.
